Does a rose stop being a rose when it is no longer admired? No, it remains a red rose. Does a rose stop being a rose when someone says they prefer lilies? No, it remains a rose. Does a rose stop being a rose when someone calls it by another name? No, it remains a rose. Likewise, your worth isn't based on the objective truth of who you are. That is, your worth is determined by how Allah sees you, not by anyone else.

It sucks that we miss people like that. You think you've accepted that someone is out of your life, that you've grieved and it's over, and then bam. One little thing, and you feel like you've lost that person all over again.

I have a big heart, anything and sometimes I hate it, I overthink, apologize too much, forgive too easily, worry too much about people who don't care about me, I feel guilty for things I have no control over, and I feel lonely because I'm afraid I won't find anyone who loves me as deeply as I love.
